The Edinburgh Paving Company is run by husband and wife team Colin and Lisa Gillespie and their staff.

COLIN GILLESPIE

Colin Gillespie started work as a builders’ labourer upon leaving school at the age of 16 years old; he gained a vast experience of building and by the age of 28 he had an extensive knowledge of installing driveways, patios and paths, it was then that he decided to venture out on his own.

His dedication to hard work and reputation for quality workmanship meant he grew quickly from being a one man band, to the first company to open a dedicated indoor driveway showroom at Pentland Industrial Estate, Loanhead in year 2001.  In summer of 2006, The Edinburgh Paving Company moved from Pentland Industrial Estate, Loanhead to our large purpose built, outdoor display and information complex at Murrayburn Road, Edinburgh.

LISA GILLESPIE

Lisa Gillespie started working as a junior at a small independent builders’ merchant at the age of 17; she remained there for 7 years working through various positions and gaining a wealth of product knowledge, particularly in landscaping products.

Colin and Lisa joined forces in 2002 and today they work together successfully; with Colin managing their fitting teams and installations and Lisa running the busy sales and marketing side of the business.

Colin Gillespie remains responsible for the excavation and site preparation of all our driveway installations; by personally preparing the ground works he ensures that our company endorsement is given with full confidence.

Lisa Gillespie is found out and about measuring, pricing and advising clients of the best products to use for their project; her main focus being on customer care at all times.

EDINBURGH PAVING COMPANY STAFF

OFFICE

Our busy show centre and office is run by Wendy Marr. She handles all telephone calls and foot traffic into the office and greets potential customers with warmth and the utmost professionalism at all times.

Wendy also ensures any remedial work is logged and completed as quickly as possible to minimize disruption to our valued clients.

FITTING TEAMS

Our fitting teams are highly skilled workmen who have been working within our industry for a minimum term of 9 years each. The key members of our teams have been working along side us for the past 3 to 4 years and work fantastically well together.

The boys are helpful and willing at all times and are always good humoured throughout the day.

Our teams are approachable and take a huge pride in the work they leave; they enjoy working with our clients to give them the driveway/patio/path/wall/deck that they always dreamed of.
